Galmet SG(B) 60L vertical hanging buffer tank allow stable operation of the system in the heating and cooling system, which significantly extends the life of the heat pump and the entire installation. They are used to increase the flow of heating medium through the heat pump exchanger and when it is required to provide heating medium for defrosting the evaporator in air heat pumps (through the so-called reverse circulation). SG(B) buffer tanks, which are mounted on the wall in the installation, are made of black carbon steel, which allows them to be used in installations filled with heating water or glycol and to operate the buffer at a pressure of up to 0.3 MPa max. The tight-fitting hard polyurethane foam insulation used in the construction of the buffer tanks not only guarantees high efficiency by protecting them from heat loss. It is this feature that makes it possible to use SG(B) buffers in passive cooling systems. An additional protection and insulation element of the tank is the metal casing in white.
